My Approach

It is my goal to meet you wherever you are at in your life and to work with you as you move towards healing, growth and change.

I believe that we are all growing and unfolding along our life stages and that each human has a natural desire toward fulfilment and reaching their potential. We are shaped by our early experiences and have a tendency to repeat old patterns of being and ways of coping learned in those early years. Hence, we can find ourselves repeating old habits, struggling with our emotions, using ways of coping that don't serve us anymore, re-living trauma responses and grappling in our relationships.

Research consistently shows that a safe therapeutic relationship is the main ingredient for successful therapy. As a person-centered and relational therapist, I offer a compassionate, safe, professional relationship for each client to explore their thoughts, feelings or behaviours better and to develop skills towards living their lives in more satisfying ways.

I work from a Humanistic Integrative Approach. This means I do not prize myself as the expert on your life. Instead, I wish to collaboratively explore what you are experiencing, what you are struggling with and what you may need help healing.  I value the experience of each client and treat each person as a whole person; body, feelings, mind & soul. My approach is grounded in Person-Centred, Existential and Gestalt Counselling Theory. I integrate CBT as well as elements of Mindfulness and Meditation, Art Therapy and Spirituality.
